Microfinance Industry has only a history of over three decades in the globe but has registered a rampant expansion and now become an important global agenda. The target customer group of micro finance industry is the low level income majority. The industry intended to catch and address the financial problems of the low level income group who has the capacity to make business without totally compromising the profitability and sustainability to the industry itself. There is still a considerable size of the active poor at the lower and middle segments of the economy both in rural and urban areas which are not fully addressed with need-based financial services. Particularly, those economically active micro, small and medium scale businesses with a potential towards contributing value addition, job creation and income generation throughout the country. Yegna Microfinance Institution S.C was founded to contribute to the country’s economic growth by offering professional and high-quality financial service to individuals who require it; to contribute value in the form of wealth creation and profit. Yegna Microfinance Institution S.C is a Financial Institution licensed by the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) Directive number 629/2009 and Amendment Directive number 1164/2019 and registered by Ministry of Trade & Industry Principal Registration. Most of the shareholders are individuals, young, educated, experienced, committed and entrepreneurs who can successfully achieve their objectives and make a difference in their economic and social endeavors. Yegna Microfinance Institution S.C was established with birr 40 million paid up capital by energetic founding members. Our company works with different stakeholders; the main ones are: governmental and non-governmental organizations, National Bank Ethiopia, Development Bank of Ethiopia, Association of Ethiopian Micro Finance Institutions, Commercial Banks (Government & Private), NGO’s, Marcon Car Importer.
